Dirlantas Polda Riau Kombes Pol Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat, SIK, MH, continues to carry out various socialization activities of Kamtibmas and Kamseltibcarlantas, one of which is through the Safety Campaign with the Riau Police Ditlantas thematic program with the theme "Riau Is Us".

This time, the Safety Campaign activity took place at Traffic Light Jl. Yos Sudarso, Pekanbaru. Appearing at the location of the activity, the team was led directly by the Head of Sub-Directorate of Kamsel Ditlantas Riau Police AKBP Dasril, SPd, MM, accompanied by the Head of Dikmas Ditlantas Polda Riau Kompol Sunarti, SH, along with several personnel from the Ditlantas Polda Riau using a gimic-gimic prop and appeal banner.

"Yes, mas, we will continue to carry out various efforts to provide understanding to the public so that they are always orderly in traffic. Especially now that we are in the atmosphere of the 2024 Pilkada Damai and ahead of the inauguration of the President of the Republic of Indonesia which is not long before. We from the Ditlantas Polda Riau also launched the Thematic Program with the theme 'Riau Is Us'," said Kombes Pol Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat to the media crew, Friday, October 11.

At the location of the activity, personnel from the Ditlantas Polda Riau were seen greeting motorists, especially two-wheeled riders and other road users, while conveying the appeal of Kamtibmas and Kamseltibcarlantas. Personnel from the Ditlantas Polda Riau also distributed advisory brochures to motorists.

"We distribute dozens of brochures for the appeal of Kamtibmas and Kamseltibcarlantas to motorists and other road users. In addition, we also provide free SNI helmets for motorists whose helmets have been damaged, but they remain complete and orderly in an administrative manner and complete vehicle. It is a form of appreciation from Ditlantas to motorists who obey in traffic," said AKBP Dasril when met by media crews at the activity location.

It is known that through the Safety Campaign program with the theme "Riau is Us", personnel from the Ditlantas Polda Riau in addition to conveying the appeal of Kamtibmas and Kamseltibcarlantas, also invite motorists to always maintain Kamtibmas and not get involved during the 2024 Peace Pilkada.

"We also invite motorists who like to create content to take part in creative video competitions in conveying safety messages to the public. Through the 'Riau is Us' program, Ditlantas Polda Riau provides opportunities for content creators to channel their creativity," added Kasi Dikmas Ditlantas Polda Riau.

Meanwhile, Putra, one of the lucky drivers who got the SNI helmet for free, thanked the officers.

"We are very happy, sir, there is some sustenance. Earlier, the police gave me an advisory brochure on traffic rules and invitations not to golput. Without realizing it, we were given a free helmet. Apart from reminding us about traffic order, we were also asked to always be active in maintaining security in their respective environments. Hopefully, programs like this will continue to be sustainable. Once again, thank you, police, keep up the spirit in duty," said Putra, a resident of Rumbai.

Kasubdit Kamsel Ditlantas Polda Riau AKBP Dasril expressed his hope that the public would always prioritize safety when driving and complying with traffic rules. The activity which took place at 10.00 WIB was running safely, orderly, and smoothly.
