The husband of the late Hajjah Nurjannah, owner of the Makassar Batal Basa Serigala Restaurant, with the initials AQ, was finally named a suspect on suspicion of negligence which resulted in the death of his wife and child in an accident on the Reform Flyover Toll Road.

"The driver has been named a suspect, but has not been detained. Even though there is no report, this happens that it must be handled because of negligence, there has been death," said Head of the Makassar Polrestabes Traffic Unit KompolMamat Rahmat as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 11.

Apart from AQ as the victim's husband who was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser, Mamat emphasized that AQ was still subject to Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic.

The articles imposed are Article 310 Paragraph 4 and Article 310 Paragraph 3 subsidiary Article 109 in the Traffic Law Number 2 of 2009 with a maximum imprisonment of six years in prison and a maximum fine of IDR 12 million.

However, Kompol Mamat said the suspect AQ was not detained because he was cooperative. In addition, he is still recovering from psychology because his wife and child died.

"The person concerned is a city prisoner, always obliged to report," he added.

As for a container truck driver named Wahyudi (30), his status is mandatory to report and information has been taken and asked to cooperate for further information in order to complete the file.

Regarding the speed of the car at the time of the incident, Kompol Mamat explained the results of the crime scene (TKP) in the field using trafficcident analysis (TAA), the speed of the car at the time of the accident reached 127.3 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, container trucks run 40.1 kilometers per hour at the same time.

The two vehicles drove one way from south to north to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. According to the inspection at the TKP, there was no puff of smoke or no blank spot, all in normal condition.

"According to the results of the investigation report (BAP), at that time he was in a hurry to take his brother to the airport so he took the right lane. However, in front of him there was a vehicle, then the person concerned took the left lane, then hit the back of the container truck," he said.

From the right lane, he continued, to precede in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation there is a maximum and a minimum limit. The right lane is a speed of 80 kilometers per hour for the maximum limit and the left lane is a maximum of 60 kilometers per hour.

Regarding the suspicion that the car driver was not fit or sleepy, Kompol Mamat stated that the driver's condition was normal, but spurred the vehicle past the speed threshold.

"Nothing, the results of the BAP examination did not exist. Seeing the conditions in the field, there was no braking because the speed there was seen from the results of TAA, which was 127.3 kilometers per hour," he explained.

The owner of a well-known RM typical of Makassar Pallu Basa on Jalan Serigala named Hajjah Nurjannah (35) and his son Muhammad Fadlan (7) died in a fatal accident on the Makassar Reform Flyover Toll Road, South Sulawesi on Wednesday (25/9) night.

The car driven by her husband H. Al Qadri Chaeruddin (36) hit the back of a container truck while traveling at high speed.

The victim's husband survived and another passenger named Khaerunnisa Chaeruddin survived, but was taken to Ibnu Sina Hospital for medical treatment.
