Jessica Wongso was informed to submit a second review of the murder case of Wayan Mirna Salihin. What do you think is the reason Jessica Wongso submitted a PK?

Jessica submitted the PK application accompanied by Otto Hasibuan as his lawyer.

"Indeed, today Jessica Wongso through her attorney has submitted PK No. 7/Akta.Pid.B/2024/PN.Jkt.Pst on October 9, 2024," said Central Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer Zulkifli Atjo.

The Public Prosecutor or Public Prosecutor is given the opportunity to submit an answer regarding the PK. If there is a novum or evidence, an oath will be carried out first.

"The file examination was opened at the Central Jakarta District Court and provided the prosecutor with an answer to submit an answer, if there is new evidence, the novum will be sworn in first, if it is complete, then the file will be sent to the Supreme Court for trial," said Atjo.

Otto Hasibuan explained that he had provided CCTV footage at Oliver's cafe which was used as new evidence.

"The reason for our PK is that there are several things, firstly there is a novum, secondly there is a judge's mistake in handling this case," explained Jessica Mila's father-in-law at the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (9/10).

"Of course you are asking what novum we used? The novum we used was in the form of a flash disk, containing footage of the incident when Mirna's murder allegations took place in Olivier," he continued.

Otto said no witness explained that his client mixed cyanide into Mirna's coffee. The discovery of this new novum also shocked Jessica Wongso.

"I was surprised when I first heard that I couldn't say anything, but yes, I am grateful that the findings were found," said Jessica.

Previously, Jessica Wongso was sentenced to 20 years in prison for being proven guilty of murder against Mirna Salihin. She has fought back through appeals, cassation, and PK. However, her resistance was not accepted and still received a sentence of 20 years in prison. Jessica then received parole in August 2024.
