Reviewing Free Nutrition Food In Jakarta, Gibran Prepares Food For Children With Allergy

JAKARTA - Elected Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka said he would pay attention and provide a free nutritious lunch menu for children who have allergies to certain foods.

I have met all kinds of allergies in several schools. And for children who have allergies, I myself have allergies. So this will have special attention. The menu is different and that's not a problem," said Gibran while monitoring the free nutritious trial at SMA Negeri 70 South Jakarta, Wednesday 9 October.

Gibran also explained that the trial of the program had been carried out for three months in several cities.

Gibran admitted that from the trials that had been carried out, the food menu provided had to adjust to each student.

Because, he wants everyone to be able to benefit from the program he carried together with Elected President Prabowo Subianto.

"The Elected President and I continue to review and look for the best formulation for this program. The amount of the budget, or using a central kitchen, utilizes micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). We will decide soon," explained Gibran.

For the distribution of free nutritious lunch trials at SMAN 70, the menus provided are white rice, teriyaki chicken, vegetable salads, tofu, Perkedel, eggs to bananas with a total of 781,58 kilocalories (Kkal) per box.

The total portion given at SMAN 70 is 1,075 boxes of food at a price of Rp. 25,000 per serving. Gibran explained that regarding the budget for each food box, his party will continue to conduct trials at different prices.

"That's why I told the Acting Governor, this is among the most luxurious that I have ever seen. At Rp. 25,000. Yesterday we tested Rp. 15,000. The menu is different. Once again, this is still a trial. We still need input from various parties," said Gibran.
