Modal Clock 19, Robber In Kebon Jeruk Targets Online Ojek Driver

The five youths who carried out the robbery accompanied by violence that occurred in front of a minimarket on Jalan Panjang Arteri Kelapa II Raya, Kebon Jeruk District, were arrested by members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim.

The suspects are known to have the initials MI alias Kelemple (25), MY alias Ucup (37), S alias Pandi (30), RK alias Abak (31), and MF. From the suspect MF, evidence of a gun similar to a gun was confiscated.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes M. Syahduddi said the results of the investigation carried out by a joint team from the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police managed to arrest the robbers.

This incident occurred on Friday, September 27, 2024, at around 00.30 WIB. The victim, who works as an online motorcycle taxi driver, was resting while waiting for orders.

Then, at around 01.00 WIB, the victim was approached by four unknown people. Without talking much, one of the perpetrators immediately pointed a Clock 19-type weapon at the victim and asked him to remain silent.

"The perpetrator immediately ordered the victim to hand over a bag containing a cellphone, and took the victim's Honda Vario motorbike," said Kombes Syahduddi when confirmed.

After the incident, the victim reported this incident to the Kebon Jeruk Police, and a joint team was immediately formed to conduct further investigations.

Based on the results of the crime scene and the evidence obtained, the police managed to identify one of the suspects who hid in an apartment in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta.

A joint team from the Criminal Investigation Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police immediately moved to the location and managed to secure five suspects involved in this violent theft.

"We confiscated a number of evidences, including one type Clock 19 weapon belonging to the perpetrator, the victim's Honda Vario motorcycle, and a Satria FU motorbike belonging to the perpetrator," he said.

In addition, three cellphones belonging to the perpetrators were also successfully secured by the police. The five suspects were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence, with the threat of a sentence of 12 years in prison.
