Students In Kendari Killed For Inviting Their Ex-Sex Relations, 4 Perpetrators Threatened With Life In Prison

KENDARI - Kendari Police said that four student killers in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra) were threatened with life imprisonment. The murder was triggered by jealousy from one of the perpetrators when his girlfriend was invited to have sex.

Kendari Police Chief Kombes Aris Tri Yunarko said the four perpetrators were Ermunanto (22), Ending Edriawan (23), Erdiyanto (19), and a woman with the initials I (20). Meanwhile, the victim was named Laode Hartono (24).

The arrest of four perpetrators was based on reports of the discovery of a corpse in Baruga District, Kendari City, on Friday, October 4 at around 15.00 WITA. This finding was followed up with an examination and autopsy of the victim's body.

"As a result, the injured victims were suspected of being murder victims, based on information from the doctor, then we investigated the case," said Aris when met in Kendari, Antara, Tuesday, October 8.

As a result of the investigation, the police received information about the perpetrators and were arrested by three people named Ending Edriawan, Erdiyanto, and I, in Kendari City. Meanwhile, the perpetrator Ermunanto was arrested in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng), on Monday.

"We have detained the four people at the Kendari Police," he said.

Aris revealed that based on the interrogation of the perpetrator, the murder incident began when the victim was contacted by perpetrator I, who is Ermunanto's girlfriend, to meet at the crime scene (TKP).

However, at that time Intan was with Ermunanto and two of his colleagues, namely Ending and Erdiyanto.

"At that time E (Ermunanto) fought with the victim, during the fight, E lost and was immediately assisted by EE (Ending) and ER (Erdiyanto), the victim was beaten using a bamboo motorcycle subeker," said Aris.

After the abuse, the victim then told the perpetrators that they would report them to the police. At that moment, the perpetrators immediately killed the victim and threw his body in the bushes along with the motorbike used by the victim.

"By hitting the victim using a beer bottle and stone to the victim's face," said Aris.

Aris also revealed that the motive for the murder was because the perpetrator Ermunanto was jealous of the victim who had a husband and wife relationship with his girlfriend with the initials I.

"And also the victim often contacts his girlfriend to invite her to have sex with husband and wife," explained Aris.

He added that the perpetrators would be subject to Article 340, Jo Article 338, Article 170 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code with the threat of the death penalty.
