JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin hopes that the grand design of bureaucratic reform for the 2025-2045 period must accelerate the realization of world-class bureaucracy so that the government can win global competition.

"The new policy and design direction must be able to accelerate the realization of world-class bureaucracy that supports the Government in winning global competition," said Ma'ruf while chairing the National Bureaucratic Reform Steering Committee (KPRBN) Meeting at the Auditorium of the Vice Presidential Secretariat Jakarta, Antara, Monday, October 7.

Towards the end of the 2020-2024 Bureaucratic Reform Roadmap, the Vice President as the Chair of the KPRBN conveyed several strategic directions to the ministers present.

First, the Vice President emphasized the importance of coordination and collaboration in the implementation of bureaucratic reform so that the policies formulated have a real impact and are in line with national development priority issues.

According to the Vice President, issues that need to be followed up immediately, such as the derivative rules of the ASN Management Law which need special attention.

Second, the Vice President emphasized that mapping and long-term planning to achieve the bureaucratic reform target must be optimal.

In addition, the grand design of the 2025'2045 Bureaucratic Reform and the first phase of the roadmap must be in line with the vision of the next government.

Third, the Vice President underlined the evaluation of the effectiveness of the implementation of thematic bureaucratic reform, especially related to priority issues such as poverty reduction and simplification of the bureaucracy which is the main concern.

Through evaluation, the Government can find out the impact of implementation and assess the effectiveness of policies according to the themes that have been implemented.

The results of the evaluation can also be fully utilized in the process of improving policies and formulating policy plans in the next period.

Fourth, the Vice President emphasized the importance of accelerating digital integration and transformation of public services. The inauguration of digital public service malls (MPP) in various regions is expected to increase the accessibility of public services and make bureaucracy more responsive and efficient.

According to the Vice President, the implementation of an electronic-based government system must be strengthened in order to improve governance and increase public trust in the government.
