Jakarta Mobile Program Initiated By Pramono To Overcome Congestion

JAKARTA - Jakarta Mobile Program initiated by the Governor Candidate (Cagub) of DKI Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung to overcome congestion.

This program will be implemented when he wins the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) contestation.

"We want Jakarta residents not to get jammed when they want to go and go home from work. Likewise, Jakarta residents who want to travel around the city feel comfortable enjoying the beauty of Jakarta," Pramono said in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara.

Hal tersebut juga tercatat dalam buku white visi-misi "Mas Pram dan Bang Doel Jakarta Bingka". Menurut Pramono, Jakarta yang menjadi barometer kemajuan pembangunan Indonesia, warganya harus bebas dari kemacetan. Karena itu, dia ingin menggagas Program Jakarta Bergerak.

The steps to be taken in the Jakarta Mobile Program are to increase the coverage of integrated public services and transportation in Jakarta. Such as MRT, LRT, Transjakarta, and Jaklingko Microtrans transportation modes.

Pramono will cooperate with the central government and other local governments to strengthen the quality of public transportation services in the buffer zone of Jakarta.

Pramono also made a transportation called "Navy Transjakarta" to serve residents in the Thousand Islands Regency.

No less important, Pramono will remove the discourse on adjusting tariffs and subsidies for MRT, LRT and TransJakarta transportation based on the Population Identification Number (NIK) or "account based ticketing".

The provision of school buses will be integrated so that it can be useful for public and private school students. This also supports the breaking of congestion during peak hours.

Previously, Pramono admitted that during his two terms as Cabinet Secretary, he really understood the problems in Jakarta through cabinet sessions. From that issue, he forwarded to all ministers for improvement.

Moreover, according to him, now that Jakarta is the center of the national economy and a global city, there needs to be a governor and deputy governor who are responsible for making this happen.
