Ahok Questiones RK-Suswono Greeted In Early Order At The Paripuna Meeting For The Inauguration Of DKI DPRD Leaders

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD held a plenary meeting for the inauguration of the Chairperson and Deputy Chair of the DPRD today. A number of figures attended were invited guests at the event, such as former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama and former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria.

Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta number 1 Ridwan Kamil and Suswono were also present at the inauguration of the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

After the meeting, Ahok questioned the name of RK-Suswono as an invited guest who was greeted in the initial order in the plenary meeting. The greeting was said by the Chairman of the DKI DPRD while from the PKS faction of the DKI DPRD, Achmad Yani, which was conveyed when opening the meeting.

"If we want to question, this is not in accordance with the Protocol Law, mention their names (RK-Suswono) first. In terms of the Protocol Law, it cannot," said Ahok at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Friday, October 4.

According to the Chairman of the PDIP DPP, the greeting to RK-Suswono violates Law Number 9 of 2010 concerning Protocol which regulates the procedures for state events and official events of state institutions.

This is because RK was greeted first by the DPRD leadership before greeting the former Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta, members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, and the former chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"In the Protocol Law (RK-Suswono) it must be mentioned as ordinary guests. Not invited, not present, it's okay. The Protocol Law has a sequence. I think that's it," said Ahok.

Separately, Acting Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Augustinus admitted that his party did not invite RK-Suswono to attend the plenary meeting. However, every leader of the inaugurated DKI DPRD is welcome to invite anyone according to their wishes.

"The DPRD Secretariat invites institutional elements. They are officials from the DKI Provincial Government and Forkominda as well as officials from the Vertical Agencies. However, from the leadership of the DPRD who was inaugurated today, they invited relations and colleagues from party elements," said Augustinus.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, admitted that the presence of RK and Suswono was indeed at the invitation of him as the chairman of the council who was inaugurated today. "Yes, as a figure we invite," said Khoirudin separately.
