Police Arrest Elementary School Burglars In Temanggung Curi 6 Laptops, 3 Tablets To 4 HP

The police arrested the perpetrator of the theft with the initials IT who broke into Jombor State Elementary School, Temanggung, Central Java (Central Java). The evidence that was secured was a hammer and cell phone (HP).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Temanggung Police, AKP Didik Tri Wibowo, said the theft case occurred on December 6, 2023.

"Our team just got instructions to uncover the case about two weeks ago," he said in Temanggung, Friday, October 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that the modus operandi of the perpetrators of the Watumpul residents, Temanggung was by breaking the lock and prying open the Jambon Elementary School door to enter and take things.

Then the stolen goods were sold and the perpetrators got money from the sale of the proceeds of the crime of theft.

He said the thief had taken items from the teacher's stall in the form of six laptops, 3 Samsung tablets, 4 HP units and Rp3.5 million in cash.

"So far, the perpetrator has only admitted to one crime scene, but we are still investigating it. The proceeds from the theft were sold online, but have not been paid," he said.

According to him, the result of the suspect's actions was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 3 years in prison.
