JAKARTA Saturday, September 21, 2024, the Serang City Police Satreskrimum Office received a report of the discovery of a corpse with a pathetic condition covered in blood on the side of the Merak-Jakarta Toll Road KM 77B Kasemen, Serang City, at 21.30 WIB.

The results of the police identification of the body at the scene, it was confirmed that the male corpse was a murder victim with a number of stab wounds in a number of his limbs.

For the investigation process, the body was taken to the Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Banten for the identification process, post-mortem and autopsy.

Serang City Police also conducted an investigation by gathering some information. Until finally it was confirmed that the victim was a truck driver carrying 35,000 kg or 700 sacks of sugar that would be brought to Jakarta from Merak by toll route.

As conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Pol. Didik Hariyanto, the success of the Banten Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Serang City Police in conducting investigations, it is known that a group of people who have planned the theft of 35,000 kg of sugar.

Five people were arrested, namely FR (51), BN (53), RR (56), HD (33), WH (35) with a number of evidences. Meanwhile, the police are still searching for other fugitive perpetrators.

The results of the examination of the perpetrators, it is known that the mode carried out in this crime was by riding a truck driven by the victim.

The perpetrators committed the crime by riding a truck carrying white crystal sugar brand Rose Brand, as much as 700 sacks weighing about 35,000 kg to Jakarta.

On the way, at KM 77 to be precise, Merak-Jakarta Toll Road, one of the perpetrators asked to stop by the side of the road with the excuse of urinating. At that time, when the driver was careless, one of the perpetrators smothered the driver using a sarong in the mouth.

Then the perpetrator who pretended to urinate got back into the truck, at that time the perpetrators immediately killed the victim by stabbing his body with a knife that had been prepared.

Stabbing was carried out repeatedly on the victim's body alternately. The knife hit the victim's body in the neck and chest of the driver. The victim had time to save himself by running, but unfortunately his efforts were in vain. The victim was chased again and arrested to be killed again using a knife.

After the victim was confirmed dead, the perpetrators covered the victim's body with a towel and sarong and his body was dumped on the side of the toll road. The truck and its contents were brought by the perpetrators to be sold to the collectors that had been arranged beforehand.

FR (51) acts as the executor by covering the victim's mouth while in the car using a sarong and slashing the face on the victim's forehead and covering the dead body with a towel.

BN (53) as the executor by stabbing the victim with a knife into a number of body parts.

RR (56) acts as a collector of goods resulting from surity in the form of Rose Brand's 700 Sak white crystal sugar weighing around 35,000 kg.

HD (33) acts as a search for rental cars and helps carry 1 truck unit

WH (35) acts as a collector of goods resulting from crime in the form of 700 sacks of white sugar.

The evidence obtained by the police is:

1 sarong to smother the victim; 1 piece of cloth to cover the corpse; 1 sheet of t-shirt in white belonging to the victim 1 sheet of black t-shirt belonging to the victim; 1 strand of blue jeans belonging to the victim; 1 strand of underwear belonging to the victim; 1 red t-shirt used by BN perpetrators; Cash amounting to Rp100 million which was confiscated from the collector, namely Sdri. WH

Dirreskrimum Polda Banten AKBP Dian Setyawan menjelaskan bahwa penyidik masih memburu empat tersangka lainnya, dan sudah diterbitkan DPO.

"From the perpetrator's statement, two knives used to kill the victim were thrown into the Tanjung Pura Karawang river, along with a backpack to remove evidence. Investigators are still looking for a tronton truck carrying sugar", explained AKBP Dian Setyawan.

Two suspects had fought back when they wanted to be arrested. But finally the police fired hot bullets to paralyze the two perpetrators.

The perpetrators are subject to multiple articles, Article 340 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 338 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder and/or criminal acts of murder and/or criminal acts of theft with violence with the threat of death penalty or life imprisonment or a maximum of 20 years.
