JAKARTA - The Plenary Meeting has determined five DPR leaders for the period 2024-2029. Puan Maharani remains as Chair of the DPR accompanied by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Adies Kadir, Cucun Syamsurijal, and Saan Mustopa.

As a new leader, the three deputy chairmen of the Indonesian House of Representatives, namely Adies Kadir, Cucun Syamsurijal and Saan Mustopa, promised to maintain the trust of the Indonesian people with Puan Maharani and Sufmi Dasco. By improving the performance of the DPR, participating in all leadership activities, and maintaining solidity between DPR leaders.

"And as the new vice chairman, I am temporarily following all the programs that have been carried out 5 years ago. Of course in the next 5 years under the leadership that survives Mba Puan and Pak Dasco," said Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the Golkar faction, Adies Kadir, Tuesday, October 1.

According to the Deputy Head of Golkar, for the past 5 years many people's interests have been conveyed and distributed by the DPR. Therefore, Adies ensured that he would follow all activities of the DPR leadership to contribute to the welfare of the people.

"Of course I personally and the Golkar Party, the Golkar Party faction, support all activities rather than leaders who support the welfare of the people throughout Indonesia," said Adies.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from the PKB faction, Cucun Syamsurijal, added that as a new vice chairman, he is ready to be 'obspected' by seniors, Puan and Dasco.

The former chairman of the PKB DPR faction in the past period also admitted that he had rules on how to maintain the achievements of the previous leadership. According to him, the achievements of the leadership of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period have been quite extraordinary so that he will participate in maintaining this achievement.

"So we will maintain and participate in supporting and also contribute later on how to collaborate to find better things as well," said Cucun.

"We are ready to follow what is now solid, higher, more solid," he added.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the NasDem faction, Saan Mustopa, stated that he would follow the order of the Speaker of the DPR to maintain and increase public trust in the DPR. As well as maintain and improve the performance of the DPR with the spirit of togetherness.

"As emphasized earlier in the speech at the beginning of the session by the Chairperson, of course this must be a joint commitment. So increasing trust in the DPR is very important, like the Chairperson conveyed," said Saan.

"And I certainly as a member of the new vice chairman, the same, to come together to look after and improve," he continued.
