Pramono Anung Calls The Dissolution Of FTA Discussions In Kemang Should Be Prevented By The Police

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has spoken out regarding the forced disbandment of discussions on the Indonesian Forum (FTA) and the destruction of property allegedly carried out by a group of thugs at the Grand Kemang Hotel, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Saturday, September 28.

He argues that if that should not happen, there should be no acts of thuggery like what happened at the Kemang Hotel, South Jakarta, some time ago. Because for him Indonesia is a democratic country, so it is resolved with an idea.

"Discussion of discussion or in any form as a democratic country should not occur. Moreover, this is done by means of thuggery," Pramono told reporters in the Ululjami area, Pesanggaraan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 1.

Therefore, he asked the government and the police to take precautions, so that similar incidents do not happen again.

"Law enforcement officers and the government are responsible, which is like this, (so that) it doesn't happen again. (Because) different opinions, they are normal things," he said.

Previously, the police had named two of the five perpetrators as suspects. This happened in the aftermath of the forced disbandment during a discussion at the Grand Kemang Hotel, South Jakarta.

The 5 perpetrators have the initials FEK, GW, JJ, LW and MDM. Of the 5 perpetrators who were children, 2 of them have been named as suspects.

"Only two have been identified, there are only two who have indicated that he can be named a suspect," said Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police Brigadier General Djati Wiyoto Century.

Regarding chronology, Djati explained that the incident initially started with a discussion attended by big figures at the Grand Kemang Hotel, South Jakarya, Saturday, September 28.

The figures who attended included former General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Din Syamsuddin and constitutional law expert Refly Harun, former Secretary of the Ministry of SOEs, Muhammad Said Didu to former DPR member Marwan Batubara.

On the other hand, there was a demonstration from a group of people on behalf of the Indonesian Love Forum. They demanded to disband the discussion inside the hotel.

"The reason is that there is no permit, divides unity and integrity and so on," Wiyoto told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Sunday, September 29.

On that basis, his party carried out security so that there would be no friction that would not be cold.

Furthermore, suddenly from behind the hotel, there were 10-15 people pushing in. They caused trouble by destroying property and forcibly dispersing the discussion

"So at that time our members were still focused in front of the hotel carrying out Unras action security activities. But suddenly around 10-15 people immediately entered the building," he said

After the incident, his party conducted an in-depth investigation by examining a number of witnesses and CCTV at the scene.

"Then (the examination) from the CCTV record, and also several video shows that have been circulating on social media, we managed to secure 5 people who were indicated as perpetrators," he said.
