JAKARTA - Grief is enveloping the families of Sonny Septian and Elma Theana where her mother, Wati Siregar, died on Sunday, September 29.

Wati himself died at Citra Arafiq Hospital at 05.07 WIB. This was revealed by Sonny Septian's wife, Fairuz A Rafiq through his personal Instagram.

Wati Siregar, whose real name is Omas Tjahjawati, is an old artist who started his acting career in 1973 by playing in the film End of a Dream.

Since then, this woman who was born on August 8, 1953 has soared until she was finally trusted to be the main character in the film Era Edan which aired in 1978.

In this film, Wati competes acting with actor and comedian, Djalal.

After that, Wati was increasingly trusted to play in dozens of film titles from the 80s to 2021 where he was still active.

The web series title 7 Days Before 17 Years was Wati Siregar's last title in the acting world where in this series he competed acting with singer Lyodra Ginting andctional Karamoy as their mother.

Based on information, Wati Siregar has lymph node cancer more or less since 3 years ago. Due to this illness, Wati's condition is getting worse and worse.

Initially, Elma said that her mother had cancer in her breast until she had to be removed and then grew back in the armpits and lungs.

"This mother is indeed suffering from cancer, previously her breasts were removed and her breasts were removed. And now she is growing again when and in her lungs," explained Elma Theana at the time.
