JAKARTA - Former Secretary General of the Golkar Party Lodewijk F. Paulus opened his voice about the figure who will be the leader of the DPR for the 2024-2029 period. Lodewijk emphasized that all Golkar cadres who were elected as members of the legislature fully handed over the fate of the seats led by the DPR to officials of the banyan party.

"We are like puppets. It depends on the mastermind, whether we are stuck in the banana tadpole. Are we used to dance, are we put on the floor. So we'll just have to wait," said Lodewijk, Friday, September 27.

Lodewijk revealed that Golkar cadres who are currently elected as members of the DPR have not received any direction from party leaders. Therefore, he asked the public to be patient waiting for the mechanism for determining the leadership of the DPR from Golkar in the next period.

"Not yet gathered. Be patient. You just want to gather. In fact, when the inauguration was held, no Speaker of the House of Representatives was wanted as the oldest and youngest, right," said the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

However, Lodewijk assessed that all members of the DPR who would be inaugurated would certainly have the desire to become leaders.

He also ensured that the General Chairperson of Golkar would immediately determine who deserved to occupy the position.

"Yes, the name is a member of the DPR, a member here, based here as a member of the council, why don't you want to be the leader of the DPR. You definitely want it," he concluded.
