KPK Affirms No Internal Conflict Regarding The Announcement Of The Results Of The Kaesang Report

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tessa Mahardika ensured that there were no internal problems regarding who announced the results of reports on the use of private jet facilities submitted by the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) as well as the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep.

This was conveyed in response to the statement of the Temporary Chairperson of the KPK, Nawawi Pomolango, who said that the submission of the results of the report should have been carried out by the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK, Pahala Nainggolan. Meanwhile, Pahala from the start said that the announcement would be made by the head of the institution.

"There are no internal problems who will convey it," Tessa told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.

Tessa mentions who announced the real business is only a technical issue. But, the most important thing is the decision made.

"Of course whatever is conveyed is a joint decision with the institution," he said.

Moreover, the administrative process is still being completed at this time. The KPK asks the public to wait for the results to be read out.

"We are waiting together. We hope that it will not take too long, in the next few days there will be a release regarding the reporting of KP relatives at the Gratification Directorate. So it is still ongoing (the administration process, ed) and we hope it will not take long," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

As previously reported, the Chairperson of the KPK, Nawawi Pomolango, threw a hot ball about the announcement of the results of the report on the use of private jet facilities submitted by the General Chairperson of PSI who is also the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep.

He said the announcement should have been made by the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK Pahala Nainggolan. Moreover, his subordinates often make statements about reports submitted by Kaesang from the start.

"So far, the Deputy for Prevention (and Monitoring, ed) has made a statement," Nawawi told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.

Nawawi said that without a leader, Pahala could make a statement. "If from the start he dared to say something like that, yes, including something like this, it's enough to convey it," he said.

Meanwhile, Pahala Nainggolan from the start stated that the leadership would submit the results of Kaesang's report. He even said that he had submitted the official memorandum to his superior's desk.

"I have sent an official memorandum regarding the results of the analysis and proposal of the decision to the leadership," Pahala told VOI via text message, Monday, September 23.

"Furthermore, the leadership will decide and announce it," he continued.
