JAKARTA - The interim chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango made an unwise message about'sons selling bananas' and 'private jets'.

This moment occurred when Nawawi spoke at the launch of the Anti-Corruption Academy module "Corruption and Conflict of Interest" and a Public Discussion entitled "Conflict of Interest as an Entrance to Corruption", Tuesday, September 24. He was present with a number of sources such as UGM Constitutional Law Expert Zainal Arifin Mochtar and ICW Researcher Almas Sjafrina.

"Let me start this presentation first, this is not a rhyme but a message that is not wise," said Nawawi, starting his statement at the event held by Royal Kuningan, South Jakarta.

Nawawi said what he would say was actually to remind all parties to be careful with a conflict of interest or conflict of interest. He then read out two unwise messages' in front of the forum.

"The child sells bananas, the father of the entrepreneur is tired. Don't take the airplane, if the ticket is from gratification."

"A pigeon sparrow, cheer up on the branches. Don't dream of carrying a private jet, if you only sell bananas," he said.

This unwise message conveyed by Nawawi then received applause from the participants of the activity. Initially, he did not allow journalists to quote his statement but recently he allowed it.

Meanwhile, after the event Nawawi admitted that he did not insinuate anyone. However, he stressed that what he conveyed solely to remind conflicts of interest was the root of corrupt practices.

"Regarding this conflict of interest, however, it is the embryo of a criminal act of corruption. How is it managed, learning from what our celebration was yesterday, there were many problems regarding conflicts of interest whose sources were regulations that were not, it was not clear," he concluded.
