JAKARTA - The interim chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango confirmed the search in East Kalimantan (Kaltim). He said the forced attempt was related to a new case being handled.
"We just ran a search in East Kalimantan, ed. We have just handled the case," Nawawi told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.
Nawawi has not been able to detail the case. He only said the investigation was ongoing.
"What I can say maybe (the case, ed) is already in the process of being investigated. It's already at the investigation level," he said.
Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika also agreed that there were forced attempts being made in the East Kalimantan region. However, he could not provide further details.
"Currently, details cannot be conveyed regarding the investigation of the case of the process," said Tessa in a written statement.
