RI Builds Nasial Data Center In Cikarang Bekasi, Batam And IKN

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto said the government had built three National Data Centers (PDN) in Cikarang, Batam, to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

He said the PDN which would later be built would operate through the Public Service Agency (BLU) under the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo).

"We will increase data security through the implementation of advanced encryption and layered security," said Hadi during a working meeting with Commission I of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 23, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, PDN is designed to strengthen data capacity and consolidate national development to make it more efficient and centralized.

The construction of the PDN, he said, uses a soft loan scheme or soft loans to a number of other countries.

So far, according to him, the construction of PDN located in Cikarang has reached 83 percent and is targeted to operate in 2026. Meanwhile, the construction of PDN in Batam has reached the stage of the process of determining supervisory consultants.

"Meanwhile, PDN 3 will be built in IKN where the land is being prepared by the IKN Authority. And this week we will call to determine the place and the next construction," he said.

He ensured that the construction of the PDN had involved the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) from start to finish. According to him, BSSN will also determine the fulfillment of cyber security requirements.

Dalam pembangunan PDN, dia mengatakan tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi integrasi keamanan sistem. Karena menurutnya proses transisi dari PDN sementara (PDNS) ke PDN tidak akan mudah.

For this reason, he said the development of PDN requires technology that always follows developments. According to him, the government is coordinating with international and domestic partners to ensure that the technology used in PDN is the best and can anticipate cyber threats in the future.

"The transition from PDNS to PDN is not easy, especially because it must consider security risks during the data migration process, and every integration step must be careful to prevent loopholes that hackers can take advantage of," he said.
