The National Police Officially Forms The Cyber Investigation Directorate In 8 Polda Ranks

JAKARTA - The National Police officially formed the Directorate of Cyber Investigation in 8 Polda ranks. The formation was approved by the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Minister of PAN and RB).

"It is true (officially establishing the Cyber Investigation Directorate in 8 Polda ranks)," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho to VOI, Saturday, September 21.

The eight regional police that have been formed by the Directorate of Cyber Investigation include Polda Metro Jaya; Polda North Sumatra; Polda Bali; Polda West Java; Polda East Java; Polda Central Java; Polda Sulawesi Tengah; and Polda Papua.

Previously, Shandi had submitted a letter of approval from the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform issued on November 20, 2023. All matters related to costs to take advantage of the budget within the Police.

Meanwhile, the need for employees to take advantage of employees within the National Police or other government agencies outside the National Police.

"In its implementation, it coordinates with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform and/or the State Civil Service Agency," said Sandi.

Shandi also said that through the arrangement of the organization within the Police, it is hoped that it can accommodate the implementation of tasks and functions in handling crime in the cyber sector in Indonesia.

Not only that, in order to increase the professionalism of the National Police, optimization of the use of functional positions that already exist within the Police.
