Tragic, 3 Toddlers Died Stimulated When Their House Caught Fire In Pulogadung

JAKARTA - A total of 10 houses located on Jalan Cipinang Baru, RT 05/18, Cipinang Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, were scorched by fire on Friday, September 20, noon. In that incident 3 children under five years old (balita) died.

In addition to burning 10 plot houses in densely populated areas, this fire incident also claimed 3 deaths. The death toll was 3 toddlers named Kanaya (4), Rafka (3.5) and Asyifa (1.5).

The fire was extinguished at 11.52 WIB. A total of 10 fire engines with 50 personnel were deployed to extinguish the fire.

"The alleged cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short from a resident's house," said the firefighter, Nyoman, to reporters at the location.

Meanwhile, Syaiful, a local resident, said that the flames quickly burned the house which was inhabited by three toddlers. He did not have time when he was about to enter the house to save the toddler.

"Suddenly only the fire was big. There were 3 small children who burned them all. There were still children in the fire but could not be helped," he said.
