Police Check Foundation In Bali Related To Baby Sales Syndicate, Find 7 Pregnant Women

DENPASAR - Bali Police and Depok Police, West Java, examined the Luh Luwih Bali Foundation in Banjar Anyar, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, regarding the infant buying and selling syndicate through Facebook that occurred in the Depok area, West Java.

Head of Public Relations of Public Relations Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan said the Bali Police and the Depok Police are currently investigating the findings of the alleged baby buying and selling syndicate in Depok.

"Currently, the Bali Police are still conducting an investigation and development process on the alleged trafficking of the baby and have conducted an examination of the Bali Luwih foundation in Tabanan," said Kombes Jansen in his statement, Friday, September 20.

The police have examined 12 people, including asking for information from 7 pregnant women and 2 people who have given birth at the Bali Social Service Safe House.

"From the results of the examination, two babies who have been born are planned to be adopted and are currently under the development of the Bali Police. Currently, it is still in the process of deepening to ascertain whether the alleged trafficking of the baby has anything to do with what has been investigated at the Bali Police," explained Jansen.

Meanwhile, 7 pregnant women who are being questioned are still being investigated regarding allegations of trafficking in infants.

"There are Balinese people, there are people outside Bali. This is still being investigated earlier. Is there a trade relationship, currently being carried out and processed by the Depok Police, it is still being developed with the Bali Police," he said.

Previously, the police uncovered a baby buying and selling syndicate through social media Facebook that occurred in the Depok area, West Java.

In this case, the police arrested eight perpetrators. From the investigation, it was suspected that the house for the baby's buying and selling syndicate was in Tabanan, Bali.

This case was revealed based on reports from the public about the act of buying and selling babies on Facebook. The report was then investigated by the PPA Unit of the Depok Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"It was found that at that time there were two babies to be sold, one male, one woman and the plan was to be brought to Bali," said Depok Metro Police Chief Kombes Arya Perdana.
