BANTEN - The office fence of the Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) of Pandeglang Regency was put up with a banner with a picture of the candidate pair of the 2024 Banten Pilgub.

The Coordinator of the Pandeglang Regency Bawaslu Violation Handling Division, Didin Tahajudin, said that his party had submitted the information to the Pandeglang Regency Satpol PP.

"We have conveyed it to the Satpol PP because institutionally Bawaslu has not been able to follow up directly. Because at this time there has been no determination of candidates, it means that there are still limitations from Bawaslu," he said in Serang, Banten, Thursday, September 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained, after the determination of the candidate, Bawaslu was able to appeal to the LO of the election participants not to install campaign props before the campaign period began.

The determination of candidates for the 2024 Pilkada will be carried out on September 22, 2024. Furthermore, the people of Banten Province will hold simultaneous elections on November 27, 2024, to elect governors and regents/mayors.

"We also plan to control campaign props on 23-24 before entering the campaign period," he said.

However, he said that if it was analyzed according to the rules, the installation of a Bacalon banner on the fence of the Regional Government office was clearly not allowed.

"If we analyze it clearly, this is not allowed because it is in the local government protocol," he said.

His party said that currently they are still waiting for regulations regarding the location of the installation of props for regional head candidates in the 2024 Pilkada.

Meanwhile, the banner on the fence of the Pandeglang BPKD office depicts the face of the Candidate Pair for Governor and Candidate for Deputy Governor of Banten Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah. In the banner there is also the writing of a free school program initiated by the Andra-Dimyati pair.

Apart from having a picture of Andra-Dimyati, the banner also contained a picture of the Head of the Bapera Regional Representative Council (DPD) of Pandeglang Regency.
