Examining A Member Of The West Java Regional Representative Council Regarding The Alleged Corruption In Indramayu Regency, The Corruption Eradication Commission Investigates The Money Flow

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned two former members and an active member of the West Java Regional Representative Council (DPRD). Those who were summoned were members of the 2014-2019 West Java Provincial DPRD Hidayat Rohani and Ganiwati and members of the West Java Provincial DPRD Ineu Purwadewi Sundari.

The three were summoned by investigators who were investigating the alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to financial assistance from West Java Province to the Indramayu Regency Government for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Years.

During the interrogation held last Monday, March 30, investigators investigated the flow of money to various parties. In addition, the KPK is also exploring the process of submitting financial assistance aimed at Indramayu Regency.

"The witnesses were confirmed, among others, related to the process of submitting provincial fund assistance for Indramayu Regency and the alleged flow of money to various parties", said the KPK spokesman for the field of prosecution Ali Fikri in his written statement, Wednesday, March 31.

As previously reported, the KPK carried out the development of a case of alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to financial assistance from West Java Province to the Indramayu Regency Government for the 2017-2019 Fiscal Years. In developing this case, the anti-corruption commission has even named new suspects.

However, based on the current leadership policy, the suspect's announcement and the chronology of this case still cannot be conveyed.

The KPK asks the public to be patient. Because, until now investigators are still working on the case.

Regarding this case, the KPK previously appointed a member of the West Java DPRD for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 periods, Abdul Rozaq Muslim. This determination is the result of case development carried out by KPK investigators.

This case began with a hand-catching operation (OTT) that caught four people on October 15, 2019. Those caught in the silent operation were Indramayu Regent for the 2014-2019 period Supendi, former Head of the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of Indramayu Omarsyah Regency, Head of the Roads Section at the PUPR Office of Indramayu Regency Wempy Triyono, and Carsa AS.
