DPR Pushes Vaksin Nusantara Claimed According To Indonesia's Climate

JAKARTA - It seems that the council is still trying to pass the Vaksin Nusantara as an alternative to the domestic vaccine. The DPR even said that support for the vaccine was a form of real action to defend the country in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic by making national vaccinations a success.

For this reason, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Azis Syamsuddin again encouraged scientists to continue to research Vaksin Nusantara, even though the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) has not issued for Approval Clinical Trials (PPUK) phase II.

"Assisting domestic products, namely the Vaksin Nusantara as a service to the nation and state, is by the President's recommendation for promoting domestic products", said Azis, Tuesday, March 30.

The Golkar Party politician hopes that BPOM can appreciate more researchers and scientists who have devoted their time and thoughts to the interests of the state in finding the Vaksin Nusantara.

According to Azis, the findings of several Indonesian scientists are proof that this nation is capable of making domestic vaccines. The Vaksin Nusantara is also believed to be by the natural conditions and climate of Indonesia.

"The stopping (development) of the Nusantara Vaccine is of course very unfortunate", he said.

Therefore, Azis invited the government and society to support the further development of the Vaksin Nusantara to become a finished product.

According to him, this is also for the sake of accelerating Indonesia to be free from COVID-19, as well as for the revival of the economy which can have an impact on people's welfare.

"Besides, it can be beneficial for the life of the community as a whole", he said.
