Binus School Simprug Bullying Case, Police Examine 18 Witnesses To Rise Investigation

JAKARTA - The police have examined 18 witnesses in the investigation into the alleged bullying or bullying case against RE, a Binus School Simprug student, Jakarta. Currently, the status of the case has been upgraded to investigation.

"For witnesses, we have examined 18 people, sir, at the investigation stage," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ade Rahmat Idnal at the General Hearing Meeting (RDPU) with Commission III of the DPR, Tuesday, September 17.

"Regarding the investigation stage, it has been completed, then it will go up to the investigation stage," continued Ade.

On that occasion, Ade also explained about efforts to resolve cases in a family manner. At least, there have been four meetings between the reported party and the reporter.

It's just that, from the entire meeting that was held, there was no notion of resolving cases in a family manner.

"An effort has been made, yesterday's parties met but there is no meeting point for RJ (restorative justice) or deliberation and consensus not to be found," said Ade.

For information, RE through his attorney has reported the alleged bullying case to the South Jakarta Metro Police. The report is registered with the number LP/B/331/I/2024/SPKT POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.

In the report, the reported party had the initials KE, R, K, and C. They were all Binus students. The reported bullying took place on January 30, 2024.
