SUKOHARJO - Sukoharjo Police asked 12 witnesses regarding the alleged case of student violence, causing the victim named Abdul Karim (13) to die in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Monday, September 16.

"There are 12 people who have been questioned, including three students there and caregivers," said Sukoharjo Police Chief AKBP Sigit in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java, Antara, Tuesday, September 17.

Currently, his party is handling and investigating cases of alleged underage abuse.

"All minors must maintain justice, must always be based on procedures and SOPs in the police. There is assistance from the Sukoharjo District Fathers because the treatment is different from using the Child Protection Law," he said.

Meanwhile, related to the chronology of the incident, it started with a child who was against the law walking down the hall and smelled cigarettes from room number 2.3.

"Then the child who has a legal problem asks for cigarettes from one of the 2nd grade children or class VIII. But the child doesn't have one, so he doesn't give it," he said.

Furthermore, the child who is against the law asks for cigarettes from other children and is given two cigarettes.

"Then the child who is against the law is angry with the child who was first asked for a cigarette by kicking and hitting until he was unconscious," he said.

So far, he said, only one person with the initials MG is 15 years old. The person concerned comes from Wonogiri Regency.

"So this is not a bullying, from the results of the examination of the perpetrator one, namely the senior," he said.
