350 TNI AD Personnel Deployed To Guard The RI-Timor Leste Border

A total of 350 Army (AD) personnel were deployed to the RI-Timor Leste border to maintain security in the border area.

Commander of Korem 161/Wirasakti Brigadier General Joao Xavier Nunes said the Army personnel came from Yonif 741/Garuda Nusantara units and Yonarhanud151/Danahan Bhaladika Yudha.

"I hope that all soldiers who are members of the RI-RDTL Pamtas Task Force should carry out their duties optimally so that the situation and conditions in the border area remain safe and conducive," he said in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Tuesday, September 17, confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed by Danrem when welcoming hundreds of personnel from the RI-RDTL Pamtas Task Force at Lantamal VII Kupang, which includes the Intel Task Force and the Assistance Task Force.

He explained that the Yonarhanud 15/DBY Task Force would replace Yonkav 6/NK in the western sector, while the Battalion 741/GN would replace Infantry Battalion 742/SWY in the eastern sector.

Danrem said that the operation task was an honor and pride because not all TNI soldiers had the opportunity to carry out their duties to the area of operation.

"Therefore, carry out with a full sense of responsibility and avoid the slightest violation," he said.

In addition, the Danrem also advised the Pamtas Task Force personnel to be committed to the success and elimination of problems.

"After this acceptance rally, all of you will carry out the shift of troops to their respective posts. Obey the applicable procedures and prioritize security factors in every activity," he said.

Met by media crews after leading the welcoming rally, Danrem said he had ordered their respective commanders to start working and planting upon arrival.

Danrem wants the dry land in three months to be planted with agricultural products, such as tomatoes, chilies, and other vegetable plants.

"I told them what they made, such as planting it for the benefit of many people at the border, so act sincerely," he said.

Regarding security in border areas, he said that until now he is in a safe and controlled condition and there is no threat whatsoever.
