The Number Of Train Passengers In Lampung Rose Five Percent During The Prophet's Maulid Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Divre IV Tanjungkarang recorded an increase in the number of passengers by five percent during the 2024 Maulid commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Public Relations Manager of Divre IV Tanjungkarang Azhar Zaki Assjari in a written statement in Baturaja, OKU Regency, Monday said that during the holiday period on September 13-16, 2024, 12,857 customers traveled by long-distance rail transportation mode from the Divre IV Tanjungkarang area.

This number increased by 567 customers or 5 percent compared to the same period in the first week of September 2024, which was only 12,290 customers.

KAI Divre IV Tanjungkarang itself during that period prepared three train trips, namely Rajabasa train and Kualastabas train morning and afternoon as a form of service to the community and anticipating an increase in the volume of customers who want to enjoy the holiday moment.

On this occasion, Zaki appealed to all train customers to comply with all regulations in using rail transportation.

Whether it's a smoking ban while on a series of trains, exceeding the destination relationship listed on the ticket, or complying with the provisions of the luggage.

If found violating, KAI officers will firmly impose sanctions on customers according to company regulations.
