Prabowo And Megawati's Meeting Could Prevent The Emergence Of Twin Suns

JAKARTA The meeting plan between Prabowo Subianto and Megawati Soekarnoputri is considered to be able to prevent the emergence of twin suns and minimize the potential of parties who want to be dominant and lead the upcoming government coalition.

"I think Prabowo is good for Prabowo, however Prabowo on October 20 will be our president so that he will become the leader of the coalition. Never be a coalition leader led by Prabowo, this will happen twin suns," said political communication observer Emrus Sihombing, Monday, September 16, 2024.

The chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), raised concerns about the existence of the twin sun during a speech at the 23rd Anniversary of the Democratic Party last week.

Although it is not specific to whom, SBY highlighted the dangers of the existence of twin suns in an organization, let alone the state. The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that the existence of twin suns will disrupt the situation of the organization or state.

According to Emrus, in terms of political relations, the meeting between Prabowo and Megawati is very likely to materialize. Because, so far there have been no substantial problems between Prabowo and Megawati which could hinder the meeting between the two.

He even said that the sooner the two figures meet, the better the political situation in Indonesia will be. Although there is not necessarily an agreement regarding the joining of the PDI-P into the Prabowo government, other agreements for the progress of the nation and state could be established through the meeting.

"Well, it could (PDIP) remain outside the government but there are agreements. Even outside the government, it will continue to take political communication action against government corrections, in this case not to the president, but to certain ministers, for example, like that," Emrus said.
