Bali KPU Expresses Koster-Giri And Mulia-PAS Files Fulfill Requirements

The Bali General Election Commission (KPU) stated that the administrative requirements for the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor Wayan Koster-Giri Prasta and Made Muliawan Arya-Putu Agus Suradnyana met the requirements.

"We announced yesterday's administrative equipment yesterday, all candidates who meet the administrative requirements, have not been declared and have only been administratively announced to fulfill it," said Bali KPU Chairman I Dewa Agung Gede Lidartawan, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 14.

The information on the results of the research on the administrative requirements for Bali Pilkada participants was announced in the announcement letter Number 1212/PL.02.2-PU/51/2.1/2024 which was based on PKPU Number 10 of 2024.

Lidartawan said that after announcing the results of the examination of the Koster-Giri and Mulia-PAS requirements, they would then open up opportunities for the public to provide responses.

"We will wait for the response of the community, maybe some say they did not fail at certain conditions even though they failed, please inform them later to clarify," he said.

After this stage, the Bali KPU will plenaryly determine the candidate pair for the Bali Pilkada on September 22, 2024, along with the permanent voter list plenary (DPT).

The next day, the Bali KPU will draw the candidate serial number at the Bali KPU Office by inviting candidate pairs and a number of supporters, followed by making a declaration of peaceful elections.

The campaign process will start on September 25, 2024, but because it coincides with Galungan Day, the organizers will communicate with the election participants for the holiday on that day and during Kuningan Day which falls on October 5, 2024.

"No, we don't carry out campaigns during Galungan and Kuningan, respecting religious holidays, so it's a holiday," said Lidartawan.
