The North City Police of Gorontalo City revealed the alleged case of bullying that occurred at the State 1 Gorontalo Vocational High School (SMK), Gorontalo Province, due to alcoholic beverages.

North City Police Chief Iptu Fredy Yasin in Gorontalo, Thursday said his party had arrested four people suspected of being involved in bullying fellow students at SMK Negeri 1 Gorontalo.

"This incident was busy on social media. We have secured four people, while one victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital," said Fredy, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 13.

He said the victim and four people detained were registered as students at the school.

Initially they together consumed alcoholic beverages in the school environment.

Allegedly because he was drunk with alcoholic beverages, the victim invited four of his colleagues to fight, but they refused, so the victim got angry and screamed.

Triggered by emotions and fear that this is known to teachers at the school, they then watered the victim with water, kicked and slapped the victim so that the victim regained consciousness. While one other person recorded using a cell phone camera.

"Currently, four children are dealing with the law (ABH) is still in the investigation stage, so the status of the examination is still as a witness and a case will be held to increase their status as child perpetrators," he added.
