Central Jakarta KPU Will Open Recruitment Of Thousands Of KPPS Members To The Public

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Jakarta has socialized regulations for the formation of the Adhoc body and coordinated the schedule for recruitment of members of the polling group (KPPS) in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election.

Socialization and coordination with a number of stakeholders at the city of Central Jakarta were carried out in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta on Friday, September 13.

Head of the Central Jakarta KPU, Efniadiansyah, said that for this election, his party needed a KPPS quota of 1539 people.

"Later we will recruit them through PPS and PPK, the registration will also be open to the public. There are 1539 KPPS," Effniadiansyah told reporters, Friday, September 13.

Efniadiansyah said that today his party is still carrying out the socialization stage to socialize the recruitment of KPPS members for officers in the regional elections later.

"(For registrants) In general, it is almost the same as yesterday's election, there are no special or special conditions. What is certain is that the ID card must be in accordance with the domicile concerned," he said.

Efniadiansyah said, for the Central Jakarta area, his party needed a quota of 1539 KPPS members.

However, Effniadiansyah has not disclosed the salary fees that will be obtained by KPPS members in the regional elections later.

"For more details, we are still waiting for PKPU regarding the rules made by the Indonesian KPU. For the amount and also the detailed conditions, we are still waiting for it, but in general it is not much different from yesterday's election," he said.

Efniadiansyah said that yesterday's election salary for the head of the KPPS was Rp. 1.1 million and Rp. 1 million for members.

"But if the Pilkada is probably not much different, the difference is at most Rp. 100 thousand to Rp. 200 thousand," he said.
