Ahead Of The Determination Of The 2024 Pilkada DPT, The KPU Focuses On Handling Anomaly Data

The General Election Commission (KPU) focuses on dealing with anomaly data ahead of the determination of the 2024 Pilkada Permanent Voter List (DPT) in consolidation held in Batam, Riau Islands.

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin said the number of anomaly data in Indonesia is currently around 0.02 percent.

That way, the Indonesian KPU will hold consolidation related to the preparation and service of transfer voters for the 2024 Pilkada, which is expected to produce valid data in the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada.

He also emphasized the importance of removing double voter data which may still be found in several areas.

Afifudin said, double voter data will be reverified to ensure there is only one valid data.

"We make sure there is no more double data, so we can get what will be determined at the district/city and provincial levels later it will be completely valid and there will be no problems," Afifudin said in Batam, Friday, September 13, which was confiscated by Antara.

He is optimistic that all data will be neat and valid in determining it on Sunday.

In addition, he also asked for support from all parties, including political parties and the community, so that the process of determining regional head candidates runs smoothly.

He hopes that the regional elections scheduled for November 27 can be successful, with a high level of participation.

"We expect full support from all parties, so that the 2024 Pilkada runs smoothly and successfully," said Afifudin.

Previously, the Indonesian KPU recorded 41 regions in Indonesia facing empty boxes in the 2024 Pilkada.

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifudin in Batam, Friday, said that if the election later the empty box was declared victorious, then his party had prepared a scheme for the vote again in the following year, namely 2025.

"Next year our agreement at the DPR RI Commission II yesterday, the empty box that won will be held in the following year. How many months will the stage be? Later the KPU will conduct a simulation, normally 11 months from the initial stage," Afifudin said.
