Definitive Leaders Of DKI DPRD Will Be Determined September 17

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD will determine the definitive leadership for the 2024-2029 term of office on 17 September. The definitive determination of the leadership of the DKI DPRD is carried out through a plenary meeting.

The chairman of the DKI DPRD, Achmad Yani, said that 5 political parties with the most seats were asked to submit names to occupy the position of chairman of the council.

"For the chairman and vice chairman, now we have also submitted a letter to each party to propose candidates for leadership," Yani told reporters, Friday, September 13.

After being proposed, the names of the chairman and deputy chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the period 2024-2029 will be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"After the names come in, we will have a plenary meeting. The results of our plenary meeting will be announced to the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Achmad Yani.

For the time being, the position of the DPRD leadership is filled from the PKS faction, namely Achmad Yani as interim chairman and Jhonny Simanjuntak from the PDIP faction as deputy chairman.

There is a lot to do before the members of the DPRD for the new period start working to oversee the running of the budget and government in Jakarta. They were originally supposed to form a board equipment (AKD).

The preparation of the AKD is contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 12 of 2018 concerning Guidelines for the Preparation of the Regulation of the Provincial, Regency and City DPRDs.

In addition to the leadership position, the AKDs that need to be formed include five DPRD commissions, the composition of the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the DPRD, the DPRD Budget Agency (Banggar), to the Honorary Board of the DPRD.

Five leaders of the DKI Jakarta DPRD consisting of one chairman and four deputy chairmen. As the winning party for the 2024 Pilleg in the Jakarta DPRD, PKS gets a share as chairman of the DPRD.

Meanwhile, the positions of Deputy Chairperson of the DKI DPRD were obtained by the PDI-P (PDIP), Gerindra, NasDem, and Golkar, respectively.
