GORONTALO - Residents of correctional inmates in Class II B Pohuwato Prison, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province, were searched.

Head of Pohuwato Tristiantoro Prison Adi Wibowo said the search was a step by officers for early detection of potential disturbances in security and order in prisons.

"This is the aim to ensure that there are no prohibited items, such as narcotics, sharp weapons, or other illegal goods that can interfere with security in Pohuwato Prison," Ari said in his statement, Wednesday, September 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that prevention efforts must be carried out to maintain stability and security, along with the commitment of Pohuwato Prison to continue to increase supervision in order to create a safe and conducive atmosphere for all parties, both officers and inmates.

The search, he said, took place in an orderly manner and in accordance with applicable procedures.

The joint apparatus combed all residential rooms, ensuring there are no loopholes for smuggling prohibited goods that can cause disruption.

Adi emphasized that these activities will be carried out regularly to minimize potential disturbances and maintain a conducive situation in Pohuwato Prison.

"The collaboration between prisons and law enforcement officers is part of a joint effort to maintain security stability, not only in prisons, but also to maintain order in the jurisdiction of Pohuwato Regency," he said.
