Barelang Police Hunt For The Perpetrators Of The Alfamart Sagulung Robbery Who Take Away Rp50 Million In Cash

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Barelang Police came down to help the Sagulung Police hunt down 2 perpetrators of the minimarket robbery in Saguba, Sagulung District, Batam City who took away Rp50 million.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Barelang Police, AKP Giadi Nugraha, said a team from Jatanras Polresta Barelang was in the field collecting data and information on the incident.

"Satreskrim has compiled steps related to general crimes, especially street crimes, we have prepared technical matters," Giadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 3.

"We ask for time, the ranks are in the field," he said.

The robbery of the Alfamart minimarket occurred Monday (2/9) at 22:51 WIB when the minimarket was about to close, two unknown people broke in and took away the money from the sale of Rp. 50 million.

Separately, the Sagulung Police Chief, Iptu Rohandi Tambunan, said that the robbery incident was caught on CCTV surveillance cameras that were widely spread in the community. You can see that minimarket employees are cleaning up. At that time, two people entered using helmets and face coverings into the minimarket.

The perpetrator pointed a sharp weapon at one of the minimarket employees who at that time was putting money into his pocket.

The victim, an Alfamart employee, was injured for trying to prevent the perpetrator from taking the money he had.

"So when the victim put the money in the knife, the perpetrator came and pointed a knife," said Sagulung Police Chief Iptu Rohandi Tambunan.
