JAKARTA - Commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Danpaspampres) Major General TNI Achiruddin ensures that the security of the Supreme Leader of the World Catholic Church Pope Francis during his trip in Indonesia remains strict and maximal.

Achiruddin responded to the car used by Pope Francis during the state visit agenda in Indonesia, not a bullet-proof car.

"Although the car used is not an bullet-proof car, Pope Francis' security during the trip is still carried out strictly and maximally," Achiruddin said in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 3.

Meanwhile, he said, the car used by Pope Francis was a direct request from the Vatican who wanted a simple and simple car.

"For cars used by Pope Francis, it is in accordance with the demands of the Vatican, which wants simple, simple, and public vehicles," he said.

Nevertheless, he emphasized that Paspampres would continue to provide maximum security to Pope Francis in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).

"We are adjusting to the request. However, the security that Paspampres provides remains maximal in accordance with the applicable SOP. We anticipate all factors and provide maximum security for the VVIP object of Pope Francis," said Achiruddin.

Finally, on Friday (6/9), Pope Francis will leave Jakarta for Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. He left for Port Moresby from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
