Check A Number Of Experts, Mataram Police Find Indications Against Heavy Equipment Rental Law At PUPR NTB

The Mataram Police found indications of unlawful acts (PMH) in heavy equipment rental activities in 2021 at the Lombok Regional Provincial Road Maintenance Center at the West Nusa Tenggara Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office. Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Mataram Police, Kompol Made Yogi Purusa Utama, revealed that his party found indications of the PMH after hearing expert opinions from academics and government agencies. "Because there has been an expert hearing, in the near future we will hold a case for fingerprinting (investigation)," said Yogi in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, September 3. The experts who give the opinion come from academics in the field of crime and civil. Then experts from government agencies are related to finances in the regions. In completing the need for a case title, the police have also asked for information from the former Head of the Lombok Regional Road Maintenance Center Ali Fikri. "The person concerned has admitted that there are several heavy equipment rental activities," he said. For a tenant named Fendy, Yogi said that his party had not met the person concerned. Search efforts are being carried out. "Because they were summoned and visited to East Lombok, where they came from, there was none. We are still looking for them," he said. In investigating this case, the police have received a document on the process of renting heavy equipment from the Secretary of the NTB PUPR Service. From the documents received, there was an explanation of several heavy equipment items that were included in the lease list in 2021. The heavy equipment included excavators, levers, and cement complainants. The heavy equipment from the procurement was then rented by the hall, then the rental results were directly deposited into the state treasury.

"So, rent is a daily calculation. It's from the documents we received," he said. From information from the Head of the Lombok Regional Road Maintenance Center, Kusnadi previously said that due to the rental of heavy equipment that had not returned until now, the state suffered a loss of Rp. 1.5 billion.
