KPI Chairman Ubaidillah Wins National Inspirational Santri Award, Becomes An Inspiration For The Young Generation

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Ubaidillah was named an inspirational santri in the 2024 Santri of The Year awards. Ubaidillah received an inspirational santri award in the National Leadership Sector.

For Ubaidillah, the awards obtained from the Islamic Nusantara Center (INC) collaboration, the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), the House of Representatives (DPR RI), and the Archipelago Sholawat Lovers Council (Pesona) are new mandates that must be carried out seriously.

"This is a new mandate, as well as a process for me personally to carry it out seriously," he said at the Nusantara IV Building Complex of the DPR RI/MPR RI Jakarta Building, Sunday, September 22.

According to Ubaidillah, there are many things that can be done as students. But all the success achieved will not happen without the blessing of the kiai while in pesantren. This is just the fruit of istiqomah, sincerity, and laughter during my studies at pesantren. It is impossible for me to get it without the blessing of the teachers and kiai pesantren," he added.

For this matter, Ubadillah invited all students to explore all their talents and abilities in any field by sticking to the principles and values that have been taught by the kiai.

"For students, they must remain enthusiastic and confident. Explore all their talents and abilities, I am sure that as long as we uphold and practice the role models of the kiai, everyone will find their own path," he added.

Ubaidillah is an alumni of the Tebuireng Jombang Islamic Boarding School santri who is currently the Chairman of the Central KPI. His career in broadcasting has been since 2012 by becoming the Central KPI television and radio monitoring team.

In 2014, Ubaidillah became the Commissioner of the DKI Jakarta Regional KPI. Meanwhile, in 2016-2019, he became the Commissioner of the Central KPI.

Ubaidillah is also active in various social and humanitarian activities. Currently, Ubaidillah is the administrator of the Disaster Management and Climate Change Institute for the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (LPBI PBNU), the DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management and the KH Abd Wahab Hasbullah Foundation (KWF).
