Four Anambas Pilkada Paslons Undergo Health Tests For 10 Hours

JAKARTA - Four candidate pairs (paslon) of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Anambas underwent ten hours of medical tests at the Raja Ahmadpri Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Riau Islands Province (Kepri).

Ketua KPU Anambas Padillah mengatakan, pemeriksaan kesehatan merupakan bagian dari sub tahapan pendaftaran paslon bupati-dewa bupati, di mana dokumen hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan itu akan di-submit diamplikasi pencalon (Silon) sebagai bagian kelengkapan syarat administrasi calon.

"The results of the health examination are assessed by whether the candidates are able or unable to be physically or mentally," said Sidillah as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 1.

The four Anambas Pilkada candidate pairs are Wan Zuhendra-Amat Yani, then Rusli Effendi-Juhairi, Aneng-Raja Bagu Gunadian, and Wesha Pawelloy-Taufic.

Padillah said that the purpose of the health examination was to ensure that each candidate was physically and mentally healthy, including being free of narcotics.

For narcotics examination, he said, the hospital involved the national narcotics agency (BNN).

"Especially as a result of the narcotics examination, BNN will be issued," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Health Assessment Team at RAT Hospital, doctor Dwinita Viviyanti, stated that the health checks of each candidate took approximately 10 hours.

His party deployed 17 specialist doctors to check the health of the regional head candidates.

The examination took place from morning to evening, then the results could be known on Sunday night.

Several types of health checks include physical, heart, lungs, nerves, eyes, ears, nose, throat, mouth, and teeth.

"The results of the medical examination were handed over to the KPU on Monday (2/11)," he said.

Diwinta emphasized that the Riau Islands RAT Hospital medical team in examining the health of the 2024 Pilkada candidate pairs was neutral and free from political ties from any party.

In this year's regional elections, RAT Hospital serves health checks for nine candidate pairs of regional heads from Tanjungpinang, Anambas, and candidate pairs for Governor and Deputy Governor of Riau Islands from last Saturday to Sunday, September 1.
