Prabowo Asks Gerindra Cadres Not To Be Jumawa

BOGOR - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto asked his party cadres not to succeed in winning the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) contestation.

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party DPP Ahmad Muzani said Prabowo's statement was disclosed at the opening of the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the Garuda Yaksa Padepokan, Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Friday, August 30.

"Gerindra cadres were asked not to be euphoric with Pak Prabowo's victory. Gerindra cadres were asked not to get along, Gerindra cadres were asked to be examples of how to become government administrators," said Muzani as quoted by ANTARA.

According to him, the cadres still have homework in 2024, namely winning the pairs of candidates for regional heads in the 2024 Pilkada contestation which received recommendations from the Gerindra Party.

"So that they can win in their respective constituencies, such as regents, mayors, governors or deputys, in order to successfully carry out their duties," he said.

In addition, according to Muzani, Rapimnas Gerindra is a forum used for internal consolidation and coaching. He also emphasized that Rapimnas is the highest decision-making forum under the congress.

Muzani said that at the opening of the Gerindra Party's National Meeting, Prabowo Subiantom expressed his gratitude to all cadres for the success of the 2024 presidential election.

"So, in the 2024 presidential election, we succeeded in convincing the Indonesian people. He felt this was a long, tireless struggle of all the Gerindra Party structures and levels, so he felt the need to express his gratitude," said Muzani.

The Gerindra Party Rapimnas will take place on 30-31 August 2024. On the first day of Rapimnas being closed to the media, Prabowo gave his opening speech.

Meanwhile, Rapimnas Gerindra is scheduled to be closed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Arena Jakarta, Saturday (31/8).
