"The profit from the sale is that the perpetrators can get Rp150 million from the sale of 500 green cucak birds per month," he continued.

The Regional Police Chief emphasized that the perpetrators could be suspected of Article 40 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 21 paragraph (2) of Law Number 5 of 1990 concerning Conservation of Biological Natural Resources and Their Ecosystems.

"The maximum sentence is five years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 100 million," he said.
