Andika Perkasa Asks To Keep Unity During The Pilkada

Central Java gubernatorial candidate Andika Perkasa appealed to the public, especially in Central Java, to maintain unity ahead of the implementation of the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) democratic party.

"What is clear is that the election for governors, regents, and mayors is a national event whose purpose will be to choose who rules Central Java, or districts/cities," he said, in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 28.

This was conveyed by the former TNI Commander on the sidelines of the "Declaration of the Alumni of Central Java High School Perkasa" which was held by a number of elements and volunteers.

Andika ran as a candidate for Governor of Central Java paired with Hendrar Prihadi (Hendi) who became his deputy in the 2024 Central Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub)

Whoever will win the regional election contestation, both at the provincial and district/city levels, he continued, will eventually work together with all elements of society in developing the region.

"In my opinion, what must be maintained is cohesiveness and unity, because whoever wins will cooperate with all of us," said the former TNI Commander.

The retired four-star TNI general reminded the public, especially the supporters of each pair of candidates to take care of each other's ethics and feelings.

"During the campaign period, we will choose, compete to convey the vision and mission of the program, but still maintain unity," he said.

Regarding the declaration, Andika felt touched and expressed her gratitude for the trust given to the Andika-Hendi pair for the 2024 Central Java Pilkada.

"Once again, my great gratitude to my colleagues who have voluntarily supported us. This is extraordinary assistance to both of us to carry out our duties," he said.
