KPU Expresses Complete Pramono-Rano And RK-Suswono Registration Files

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) stated that all requirements included by the two candidates for governor and deputy governor have been completed.

The two prospective pairs are Pramono Anung-Rano Karno and Ridwan Kamil-Suswono.

"We state that the files provided are complete, accepted and complete for registration," said KPU DKI Chairman Wahyu Dinata to reporters, Wednesday, August 28.

Thus, the KPU's next step will be to verify the administration, namely regarding the conditions for supporting prospective pairs.

It is known that this requirement is in accordance with the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 which explains that the threshold for the nomination of the governor of Jakarta, for example, only requires 7.5 percent of the votes from the previous legislative election results.

"Of course in the future, administrative verification will be carried out, the conditions for support that have been submitted from August 29 to September 5, 2024," said Wahyu.

For information, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno first registered as a candidate for governor and deputy governor. They arrived at around 11.00 WIB.

Followed by Ridwan Kamil-Suswono who registered as a contestant for the Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) at 14.00 WIB.
