Disbursing Rice Social Assistance In Sleman, Jokowi Promises To Salurkan Again Early October 2024

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) handed over government food reserves in the form of rice to beneficiaries at the Condongcatur Village Office, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Wednesday, August 28.

In his remarks, President Jokowi emphasized that the rice aid distributed was premium rice with the best quality.

"This rice is premium rice, the best rice, which should be if you cook it, the rice will be very good, pure," said the President in front of hundreds of residents who attended as stated by the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 28, confiscated by Antara.

The President also reminded that the government will distribute the next rice aid in early October and early December 2024.

This is done by the government as an effort to ensure that the food needs of citizens continue to be met throughout the year.

"The most important thing is that you have received all those 10 kilos, right? I hope everything will run smoothly, the following month, early October will be accepted, then early December will receive it again," said the President.

On this occasion, the President also took the time to interact with residents. The President wants to ensure that there are no complaints regarding the quality of the rice that has been received.

"Does anyone complain that the rice is black? Is the rice yellow?" asked the President which was then answered by residents that the quality of rice was very good.

Adrimen, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude. Adrimen, who now spends more time at home due to health problems, feels the assistance is very useful for daily needs.

"Very good, very helpful for us the lower class. I really admire Pak Jokowi for his help which indirectly really helps," he said.

Likewise, Ratih, another resident who also received assistance, expressed his gratitude and joy. He hopes that the program will continue because it really helps his needs.

"This is the seventh aid, Alhamdulillah it's good. I use it for daily meals. I want it (the assistance) to continue, continue because it is quite helpful. Thank God, it is very useful," said Ratih.

Also accompanying the President in distributing the rice aid, namely DIY Governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Sleman Regent Kustini Sri Purnomo and Bulog Regional Leader of Yogyakarta Regional Office Ninik Setyowati.
