Judge Suhartoyo: MK Grateful For All Institutions To Obey Decisions Related To Regional Head Election Candidacy

BOGOR - Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Suhartoyo said the institution he leads is grateful that all parties can comply with and accept the Constitutional Court's Decision Number 60/PUU-XXI/2024 and the Constitutional Court Decision Number 70/PUU-XXII/2024 regarding the nomination of the Pilkada.

"Today all institutions follow the Constitutional Court's decision and we are grateful when the Constitutional Court's decision is respected and used as a guideline," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 26.

This was conveyed by the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court on the sidelines of legal technical guidance activities for the Dispute on the Results of the 2024 Governor, Regent, Mayor Election at the Pancasila Education Center and the Bogor Constitution, West Java.

The Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court emphasized that all parties must respect, follow and implement and must not fight the constitutional decision that has been decided by the judiciary.

Suhartoyo conveyed that the Constitutional Court's Decision Number 60/PUU-XXI/2024 and the Constitutional Court's Decision Number 70/PUU-XXII/2024, are a form or effort to maintain the commitment and progress of the institution.

The Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court did not deny that some time before the muruah and public trust in the judiciary had decreased and received criticism from various parties.

He said that although the Constitutional Court had made decisions, it was not uncommon for standards from the public to be different, because there were still parties who did not accept the results of the institution's decisions.

"But, what is clear is that this commitment has never been slack," he said.
