Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri reminded the regional head candidates who were promoted to fight and win in the 2024 Pilkada. They must be ready to go to the field.

"This is the third wave, thank God, it has been broadcasted earlier and every time I give an assignment I say that in the PDI-P, you have to fight, you have to win," Megawati said in her speech when announcing the candidate for the third wave of regional head at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 26.

Megawati said that all candidates for regional heads could think that victory would be easy to achieve. However, for him there is no other way to achieve it, namely by going down to meet the community.

"Everyone said 'win ma'am'. Yes, it's easy to talk, later on the field (different again, ed)," said the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia with a laugh.

"I like to think sometimes between desire and reality. In fact, I like to say realistic, objective, that's it. That's why I keep telling me to go down," continued Megawati.

Megawati emphasized that this struggle must be carried out optimally. Moreover, he has made recommendations without any money politics or political money.

In fact, Megawati together with PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP Chair who are also their children, Prananda Prabowo admitted that he was so desperate to take care of the candidates. One of the nomination recommendations was given to the former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa and former Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi to advance in Central Java.
