KPU Appoints RSHS Bandung Check Candidates For West Java Gubernatorial Election 2024

The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Java Province (Jabar) appointed Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung as a health check place for prospective governor and deputy governor pairs in the 2024 Pilkada.

West Java KPU Technical Division Coordinator Adi Saputro said the West Java Provincial Health Office previously provided three hospital recommendations as locations for health checks for prospective regional heads, namely Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung City, Al Ihsan Hospital, Bandung Regency, and Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. "From these three places, finally we the West Java KPU appointed Hasan Sadikin Hospital as a health check place for the prospective deputy governor governor of West Java," Adi said in Bandung, Monday.

Adi explained that the selection of RSHS Bandung was based on KPU Decree Number 1090 which requires standard service facilities.

He added that the Bandung RSHS, which has the status of a class A general hospital, is one of the considerations for being appointed as a health check place for candidates for governor and deputy governor of West Java.

"After a survey by the KPU, RSHS Bandung was selected as the location of the examination because it was in accordance with technical instructions that the hospital met our criteria," he said.

In its implementation, the KPU will schedule a health check for prospective governors and deputy governors from 27 August to 2 September 2024.

"There are 18 methods of health checks that will be carried out during physical, spiritual, and drug health checks," he said.

On the other hand, Adi said that the KPU would carry out the stages of receiving the registration documents for prospective governors and deputy governors from 27 to 29 August 2024.

The West Java KPU has also set a temporary voter list for the 2024 Pilkada as many as 35.96 million people spread across 27 districts/cities.
