Corruption Case of Digital Interactive Panel, Riau Prosecutor's Office Searches Education Office

PEKANBARU - The Riau High Prosecutor's Special Criminal Investigation Team searched the Riau Provincial Education Office regarding alleged corruption in the procurement of "Interactive Flat Panel" equipment in the 2024 fiscal year.

Head of the Legal and Public Relations Section of the Riau Regional Attorney's Office, Zikrullah, confirmed the raid at the Riau Education Office on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Pekanbaru City, Thursday, July 23. From the search, the investigation team secured a number of documents and electronic evidence.

"That's right. Today, the special criminal investigation of the Riau Attorney General's Office conducted a search at the Riau Education Office regarding alleged corruption in the procurement of artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence) or the procurement of 'Interactive Flat Panel' in the 2024 fiscal year," he said as reported by ANTARA.

From the search, he continued, the team seized documents in three boxes and electronic evidence. This was obtained from the room of the Head of the High School and the room of several other staff.

He said that this case had entered the investigation stage as of July 15, 2026 based on the investigation order issued. Currently, he said, the investigation is still in process to find out who is responsible for this corruption crime.

"Currently, we are still collecting evidence, including today we are conducting a search process at the Riau Education Office. That is in order to find and fulfill evidence to find out who is responsible for this case," he said.

He also revealed that there were several witnesses who were examined. However, he could not reveal it because it was still an initial investigation.

"Of course, later we will convey the related matters in this case, whether it is witnesses or evidence," he said.
